The future of a proposed wind farm tonight hinges on whether a Planning and Zoning committee member has a stake in that future.
Wednesday night, the 150 turbines proposed by Ridgeline Energy were not up for debate.
It was whether committee member Larry Kohler would benefit if those turbines were built in Wolverine Canyon.

The courtroom was about halfway full Wednesday evening, most of them were waiting to comment on Kohler’s potential conflict of interest.
If they decide Kohler has a conflict of interest, Ridgeline will have to go back to the beginning of the process which is a public comment period with Planning and Zoning.
If they find Kohler does not have a conflict of interest then county commissioners will have a final vote on whether Ridgeline Energy can build their wind turbines in the Wolverine Canyon area.
But by the looks and sounds of things, it appears the wind farm project is still up in the air.
