Greek Alpha Grissin to build 400MW wind park in Bulgaria

Greek energy company Alpha Grissin Infotech has unveiled plans to build a 400MW wind park in Bulgaria in what would be a 400 million euro investment, Greek media quoted the company’s CEO Vassilis Grissin as saying.

Construction works are due to begin this year.

Grissin declined to give more details on the project.

The company is already present in Bulgaria with a portfolio of residential and office buildings with combined floorage of 145 000 sq m. The company plans to divest its entire property business by 2011 in what should bring a net profit of 40.8 million euro.

Currently, the joint venture is preparing the launch of a fourth park with capacity of 120MW and worth 150 million euro.

Apart from Bulgaria, the company plans to expand to Romania, Ukraine and Egypt. In Bulgaria, it is already present through its property business.
