Infinergy still won’t reveal wind speed data

Infinergy has appealed against the council’s decision to refuse their application for industrial turbines in the Vale of Belvoir.

It insists the site, encircled by eight villages is the best in South Kesteven and was well researched.

The Midlands is the least windy area in Britain and not surprisingly, the developer has still not revealed the wind speeds to allow individuals to work out how much electricity 10 turbines will actually produce.

The firm continues to ply the public with its own figures – those used by all developers in the UK.

They claim the site is viable. It is an accepted fact that on-shore industrial turbines would not be commercially viable without subsidies.

When will this Government change this ridiculous system and put the millions we are putting into on shore turbines into something that will actually work?
Don’t be fooled.
