Indeed Edwin Cook’s logic is too simplistic. There is no conspiracy by anyone to ignore the benefits of wind power. Have you ever seen a wind farm with 110 turbines on it? It is one butt-ugly sight! Wind turbines are a blight on the rural landscape of this land.
Pity the poor neighbours of a wind turbine farm – the constant “Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!” of the turbine blades will drive anyone nuts. You cannot believe the size of the turbines until you see them!
One need only go west of Port Colborne, along the Lake Erie shoreline, to experience what I am talking about. We keep looking for alternative sources of energy; but, I’m not sure that wind turbines are the solution to the energy problem because you need so many of them to generate a decent amount of electrical power.
If we counted on only wind turbines, our entire landscape would be covered from coast to coast by monstrous wind turbines.
