Transmission line meeting set for Oswego County

PULASKI – Oswego County landowners in the proposed path of transmission lines from the Galloo Island Wind Project will have the opportunity to hear about the project and other considerations for wind power transmission lines at a public meeting March 18.
The Oswego County Legislature, Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District and Oswego County Cornell Cooperative Extension are sponsoring the meeting. Representatives from Upstate NY Power Corp., the state Department of Agriculture and Markets and Soil and Water, as well as an attorney, will talk about the project and considerations for property owners. There will also be a question and answer period.
The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the H. Douglas Barclay Court House, 1 Broad St., Pulaski. For more information, contact Al Womack at Cornell Cooperative Extension at 963-7286, extension 202.
