Gathering views on the proposed wind farm in East Langdon comes to a close tomorrow (Friday).
More than 800 letters of objection have so far been sent to Dover District Council against plans by Ecotricity to build five 120m turbines
District council officers are now getting ready to draw up a report on the proposal to go to the planning committee by the end of next month. The application for the wind farm is expected to be considered by councillors on April 10.
Langdon Action Group, which has been fighting the plans since last year, plans to use airships to take aerial pictures of the area where the work is planned in a bid to support its case.
Lag chairman Anthony Hyde said: “We have slowed Ecotricity down quite a lot. There have also been objections from the Ministry of Defence because of the technical problems wind farms can cause to radar equipment. Kent International Airport has said the problems to the radar systems will leave unacceptable gaps in managing aircraft using airspace in the area.”
The group also hopes to raise £3,500 to help pay costs.
