Learn these lessons

I note the concern in Steve Dubé’s column (“More monsters for Wales as we cut down trees to plant wind turbines”, February 19) regarding wind power in Wales.

The Danes plastered Denmark with wind farms on the advice of green political activists and are now wringing their hands in despair at the failure of the technology to reduce carbon emissions. Reportedly, Aase Madsen, an MP who chairs energy policy in the Danish parliament, stated emphatically about wind power, “For our industry it has been a terribly expensive disaster.”

Also, Neils Gram of the Danish Federation of Industries reportedly stated, “in green terms wind mills are a mistake and economically they make no sense.”

I am a professional consulting electrical engineer and we in the engineering field build prototypes as proof of the product before we go into production. Denmark is such a wind farm prototype and the technology has failed in its primary task to reduce CO² emissions.
