I note the intent of the Assembly Government in Richard Youle’s column (Post, February 20) to plaster Wales with wind turbines. Mr Youle also reported Gordon James, FoE Cymru, claiming that only the “ill-informed” minority oppose such intent.
The Danes plastered Denmark with wind farms on the advice of green political activists like Mr James and are now wringing their hands in despair at their failure to reduce their carbon emissions.
Aase Madsen, an MP who chairs energy policy in the Danish parliament, stated: “As for our industry, it has been a terribly expensive disaster.”
Neils Gram, of the Danish Federation of Industries, reportedly stated: “In green terms, windmills are a mistake and economically they make no sense.”
