Turbine rejection taken to appeal

A public inquiry is to be held into plans for a major wind farm development in Berwickshire.

Scottish Borders Council rejected PM Renewables’ proposal to site a total of 22 turbines at Drone Hill, lying beside the A1107 linking Eyemouth to the A1.

It argued that Coldingham Moor was not an appropriate location for such a development.

The developers have appealed against that verdict and it will now be decided by a Scottish Government Reporter.

A public inquiry is already under way into another wind farm proposal in the Borders.

Evidence is currently being heard for and against that scheme in the Lammermuir Hills.
