Regarding the windfarm debate, It’s not fear of change it’s fear of fact.
Wind turbines too near houses cause air and ground induced vibrations and the 700 metre distance is too low.
In the proposed area they will spoil the open characteristic of the character boundary complimentary to the Wolds AONB which is deemed of outstanding landscape value.
Property adjacent to these developments is hard to sell and suffers a significant devaluation.
There are over 200 affected groups in the country campaigning against these installations. Are they all wrong?
The Snipe Dales Reserve will be affected but will have to be assessed.
RAF flying operations will be affected as this area is on the glide path into Coningsby.
The programme is heavily subsidised by the taxpayer as it is not cost effective for these companies to self finance.
Having been a former vibration engineer, I assure you that the low frequency vibration/noise can have a significant effect on buildings which by virtue of their construction act as amplifiers.
The vibration transmitted through the air.
This can affect some people significantly as they are in fact made of the best vibration transmitter, 95 percent water.
Not withstanding that Francis Dymoke has a financial interest, the feeling so far in some of the affected villages such as Hameringham, Mareham on the Hill, Miningsby, Greetham and Asgarby is mostly against the proposal even though not yet fully defined.
As these companies are shown to try to pick off one small community so lowering the protest level it has been suggested that the like minded people in the affected villages unite as an area coalition as they will all be affected.
The general feeling that if they are necessary and there is great doubt about their efficiency, they should be off shore.
How a 125 metre 8 turbine group, possibly more, dwarfing, surrounding houses and overwhelming the landscape looks appealing/fascinating is beyond my comprehension.
