Plans for 19 wind turbines – some more than 400 feet high – have prompted an appeal for the views of members of the public.
Local residents are being invited to comment on four separate planning applications in the Peterborough area.
The most recent application proposes the construction of four turbines with a ground-to-blade tip height of 125 metres (410 feet) at the Flag Fen sewage treatment plant in the Fengate area of Peterborough.
Other current applications involve: seven turbines with a ground-to-blade tip height of 102 metres (335 feet) on land near Nutsgrove Farm at Scolding Drove; six similar height turbines on land south of French Drove and east of Scolding Drove at Wryde Croft, two miles north-west of Thorney; and two 100-metre (328 feet) turbines at French Farm, French Drove, Thorney.

Planning officers at Peterborough City Council have already invited comments from nearby residents on each application, including distributing 4,500 letters to properties near the Flag Fen application alone.
Given public interest in wind turbine issues, the city council is likely to arrange a special planning committee to consider all four applications in late February or early March.
The applications come at a time when the Government is keen to encourage use of renewable power generation sources that do not rely on burning fossil fuels.
An announcement this week suggested that new planning rules will encourage councils and developers to consider things like solar panels, wind turbines or heat pumps that can generate energy from on the site of new development.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defence is liaising with all four applicants to resolve issues about potential impact on radar signals.
