Campaigners fight windfarm scheme

Campaigners are seeking a judicial review after plans for a windfarm near Milton Keynes were given the go-ahead.

Seven wind turbines will be built at Emberton after Milton Keynes Council approved the plans at a public meeting on Monday night.

Your Energy says it is the best site in the area for the windfarm, which will provide electricity for 9,000 homes.

Campaigner Peter Geary said: “I’m sorry locally elected councillors can’t see the views of people they represent.”

Mr Geary continued: “There is no doubt that people don’t want this and we will continue to fight on their behalf.

“It is not over yet,” he added.
