Campaigners are set to use a large balloon to highlight their protest against plans for a wind farm.
Action group Vortex is planning to fly a large barrage balloon over the site where energy firm Nuon Renewables wants to put seven wind turbines on the Staffordshire-Shropshire border.
The six-metre red balloon will be positioned at various locations near the villages of Woore and Norton-in-Hales over the Christmas holidays, to demonstrate the height of the proposed turbines.
Protester Steve Ellsmoor, who lives at Dorrington Hall Farm, just 800 metres from where the proposed site said: “People can visualise how near the turbines of the proposed wind farm will look from various vantage points.”
Nuon is expected to submit a planning application for the 105 metre turbines in the New Year.
