We thought wind farm was a good idea – but then we checked the facts

This is a letter from your village neighbours who care about you. A company called Infinergy have proposed 10 (possibly up to 30) wind turbines in a field near you (Thackson’s Well Farm, Long Bennington).

We thought that they were a good thing – what’s the problem? But then we found out some true facts, they would be:

* The biggest built in the country.

* Built on a flood plain – with in excess of 400 cubic metres of concrete and hardcore in the ground for each one.

* Each turbine needing a back-up from an electric sub-station.

* Automatically putting your local village into an industrial area for noise classification leaving the door open for other projects in your area.

We ask you to learn from the mistakes of villagers in other areas who left it too late to object and are now suffering the consequences of a living nightmare.

We only have three weeks in which to write a letter, small or large, from each individual resident to South Kesteven District Council’s planning department to object to this proposal.

CONCERNED LOCAL VILLAGERS OF LONG BENNINGTON AND SURROUNDING AREAS.
