CHILTON – A group of residents have filed notice they are circulating petitions to recall Calumet County Board Supv. Jerry Criter.
Citizens for Responsible Government Calumet County has until Jan. 14 to collect 197 signatures, County Clerk Beth Hauser said Monday.
Lee Bjork, the group’s spokesman, said its several dozen members have lost faith in Criter’s ability to represent his district, which includes parts of the towns of Chilton, Brothertown and Stockbridge, hotspots in a controversy over proposed wind farm projects.
Criter, who has served on the County Board since 2002, was not immediately available for comment.
