Hamlin wrestles with wind power

The Town of Hamlin in western Monroe County is studying a proposed law that would govern wind power development.

The town government is trying to move quickly because it’s afraid it may lose control over wind turbine siting to the State of New York.

Opponents of the turbines say the town is moving too fast, and they believe a “hidden agenda” favorable to the wind tower developers is at work.
