Mast to stay

Permission has been granted for the continued siting of a mast to measure wind strengths at different heights on land at Crimp, Morwenstow.

The application by Crimp Wind Power Ltd for a mast of up to 50 metres high to remain in place for a further two years came before North Cornwall District Council’s planning and development committee.

The mast has been in situ since September this year and information from it is to be used by the applicant in connection with a wind turbine application which is currently at the appeal stage.
