Around 100 residents held a demo yesterday in protest at plans to build an EUR85million energy plant and wind farm.
The proposed site in Enniskeane, West Cork, is being developed by Organic Power Ltd which is based in Skibbereen, Co Cork.
Work on 16 wind turbines and a bio energy plant is due to start early in 2009 and will be completed in a year.
Protesters at Cork County Hall yesterday claimed the project would ruin their health and the beauty of the area.
