Why did we foot the bill?

May I offer the most heartiest of congratulations to the Tai’rgwaith Action Group and others, who have finally defeated the threat of gigantic wind turbines on Mynydd y Gwrhyd above Pontardawe.

Awel Aman Tawe, the wind energy group which proposed these ridiculously inefficient machines on an unspoilt hill area between the Aman and Tawe valleys, has lost its High Court appeal against the planning inspectorate decision, which rejected the wind farm some months ago.

Why was Awel Aman Tawe able to fight the inspectorate’s decision, using thousands of pounds of public funding?

It is iniquitous! We, the taxpayers of Wales, are paying the legal fees of people who have no hope of winning.
