Stinc kicks up a bit of a stink

Stinc (Stop Turbines in North Cornwall) took their campaign to the people on Saturday when they staged an information day in Enfield Park, Camelford.

Bob English of Stinc said the exhibition had received a good response from the public and the majority of people had expressed concerns at the possible proliferation of wind farms in the Camelford area.

Among those who came to view the information and displays were North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson and prospective Conservative MP for North Cornwall Sian Flynn.

Stinc said it aimed to inform the people of North Cornwall about the wind power industry and how it operated. “We believe that once informed most people see them as the white elephants they are or which they will become,” said Stinc, which maintains that unless it kicks up a stink developers will ride roughshod over objectors.

Stinc said it wished to thank those who attended the information day and the town of Camelford for letting it stage the event.
