A wind turbine south of Garner fell down Wednesday morning, a dispatcher for the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office reported.
No reason was given as to why it fell shortly after 8 a.m.
The turbine was on fire for a time and was reported to still be smoking at 9:25 a.m.
The sheriff’s office and Garner Fire Department responded. The fire department was still on the scene at 9:25 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
