This could be the view across Littleborough if plans to build a windfarm at Crook Hill are given the go ahead.
Protesters have put together several impressions of how the landscape could be affected by the construction of turbines on the hills near Watergrove Reservoir.
Chris Edwards, spokesman for the Friends of the South Pennines, believes people will be shocked by the images.
He said: “We can compare the height of the turbines to Blackpool Tower and Rochdale Town Hall, but until people actually see what they will look like on the moors it doesn’t really hit home.
“They are gargantuan structures which are in your face from whatever angle you look from.
“The windfarm at Scout Moor has already been approved and if Crook Hill gets the go-ahead the whole of Rochdale’s beautiful skyline will be ruined.
“We hope these views will create even more interest in our campaign and persuade people to object to the plans.”
Coronation Power has applied for planning permission to build 12 125m turbines at Crook Hill.
