£20m wind turbine plans on show

A £20m plan to double the height of the wind turbines on Goonhilly Downs in Cornwall has been published.

The turbine owners, Cornwall Light and Power, say they want to generate enough green electricity for every home and business on the Lizard peninsula.

The firm want to knock down 14 turbines currently at the site and replace them with seven 125m high turbines.

The proposals have gone on display at the Goonhilly Wind Farm, where local people are being encouraged to comment.
