The Lyme Town Council voted 5-0 to extend a moratorium on wind farm development to November 30 Wednesday immediately following a public hearing on the issue.
Deputy Town Supervisor G. Norman Schreib said the extension to the original mortatorium enacted in April was essential. The town still must compile the results of a survey on wind power development that it sent out in August and finish drafting a zoning law on turbines.
