Plans for a new wind farm on a hillside in the Southern Uplands have been approved by councillors.
Developers Airtricity had to reduce the number of turbines from 13 to 11 as a condition of planning consent.
The £32m wind energy project will be built on Whiteside hill – about four miles south-west of Sanquhar.
Dumfries and Galloway councillors approved the plans despite concerns from objectors about the environmental and visual impact of the development.
