A decision over plans to erect three wind turbines on Mawdesley Moss has been put on ice.
Chorley Borough Council has postponed the discussion of the application until Tuesday, September 11.
Planning officer Mark Moore, who has been handling the case, said they needed more time to consider the application.
He said: “The applicant submitted an amendment to his landscape assessment, but he did this late on and there wasn’t enough time for consultation.
“I’ve been getting a constant stream of comments from residents and the information was constantly changing. We set the date for the meeting to meet a deadline but now I want to give the application proper consideration and go through everything with a fine toothcomb.”
