Plans for a wind farm which would power the equivalent of 10,000 homes in Leeds are to go on display.
Residents are to be asked their views on the proposals for up to eight 80m (262ft) turbines on land at Hook Moor in Micklefield, near Garforth.
Planners say feedback from the event will inform the final design of the development, which will be put before Leeds Council later this year.
The exhibition was due to be held in Micklefield on Wednesday.
Banks Developments said the number of proposed turbines was still to be decided, but was likely to be between five and eight.
Rob Williams, senior project manager for the firm, said the wind farm could deliver the council’s renewable energy targets until 2010.
He said: “This is the first time that a development of this type has been proposed within the Leeds metropolitan area.
“We work closely with communities in the vicinity of all our operations, and before preparing a detailed design for the Micklefield scheme, we will take into account comments from the community and statutory consultees.”
