Wind farm green light

Further work has been approved on the new wind farm in Pencader.

Carmarthenshire’s planning committee approved plans for temporary work associated with ground investigations for Blaengwen Wind Farm.

Work includes rotary borehole drilling at the 10 turbine positions, machine excavation trial pits and dynamic cone petrometer testing at land near Clyn Glas in Alltwalis.

County planners approved plans to build the 110-metre turbines in April.
