Bay wind farm could affect more than birds

In the proposed Buzzards Bay wind project, will the Cashman Companies be the contractor of choice as well as the parent company of Patriot Renewables L.L.C.?

What kind of guarantees will be made that the work being done will hold up to the engineering standards being used by the European countries, since they have the most experience in this type of work? (Of concern are the excessive leaks being reported in the new Big Dig tunnels.)

What is being planned about the disruption of the sediment in Buzzards Bay, particularly of West Island and Dartmouth? Is this going to disrupt the fish populations, the osprey and other birds of prey, shellfish and eelgrass, as it is known that the bay around this area is laden with heavy metals?

As it is, there are already warnings about the shellfish, lobster and fish being caught in the outer harbor as being unsafe to eat.

The focus seems to be on avian studies, but no one is saying anything about what will happen under the waters of the bay. When are these studies being conducted?
