Support for a campaign to stop a wind farm on the moors above Bacup and Todmorden is gathering pace with a visit from a Euro MP.
Sir Robert Atkins MEP and Conservative prospective parliamentary candidate Jake Berry, will visit the Reaps Moss site today to show their opposition to the plans.
MP for Rossendale Janet Anderson is also against the wind farm, as is Rossendale Council’s only Liberal Democrat councillor Catherine Pilling.
Anti-wind farm campaigner, Denise McGowan, said: “Rossendale Council has not said yet if the plans are going to the development control committee in July or August but at the moment they are still collecting responses from consultees.
“It is brilliant that we have got cross-party support for the campaign.”
