Iberdrola, API Holding renewable energy joint venture cleared by EU

The European Commission said it has cleared Spanish utility Iberdrola SA’s proposed renewable energy joint venture with Italian energy group API Holding.
The 500 mln eur, 50-50 venture will see the construction of a 350 mega watt wind park in Italy called Societa Energie Rinnovabili.
The venture will develop seven wind power projects located in the regions of Sicily and Puglia, set to come on line between 2008-2009.
