Residents opposing plans for a new wind farm in Marshland St James have continued their fight against the scheme, at a second public meeting in three weeks.
Almost 300 people attended the meeting in Tilney St Lawrence on Friday, which was organised by anti-windfarm campaigners Fenland Landscape Against Turbines (FLAT), the group fighting plans for 26 turbines in their village.
Chairman Lyndon Mason was delighted with the success of the meeting, as another show of hands demonstrated an almost unanimous opposition to the wind farm.
Speaking afterwards, Mr Mason said FLAT has obtained a scoping document in relation to the proposal and a map showing 26 turbines on the site.
The group is now studying all documents in relation to the proposals, before challenging a possible planning application and environmental impact assessment.
Mr Mason welcomed a £600 donation raised at the meeting, but said more money will be needed to fund the campaign.
FLAT intends to distribute a newsletter in the coming months, and is also planning a series of information roadshows at village halls.
