Gwyddelwern residents are facing up to a two month wait for a formal decision on a controversial windfarm inquiry.
A public inquiry into plans to site renewable energy sources at Wern Ddu Gwyddelwern, was wrapped up last week.
The inquiry took place after two delays from its announcement at the end of 2006, believed to be due to illness to legal advocates on both sides.
Tegni Cymru Cyf appealed against Denbighshire County Council’s decision as the local planning authority to block permission for the construction of five turbines at Wern Ddu.
The developer also issued a second appeal against the alleged failure of the county council to determine within the statutory 16-week period, planning permission for four turbines at the same site.
Wern Ddu is situated in the boundaries of the Welsh Assembly’s TAN8 document, which aims to increase the amount of renewable energy in Wales by 10 per cent in 2010.
The public inquiry took place at Denbigh Town Hall.
A spokesperson for Denbighshire County Council, said: “The Wern Ddu wind turbine planning inquiry finished on Tuesday.
“The Inspector gave an indication that the formal decision should be issued within six or eight weeks.”
