EU inquiry deadline for Iberdrola, API Holding renewable energy jv June 20  

The European Commission said the deadline for its inquiry into Spanish utility Iberdrola SA’s proposed renewable energy joint venture with Italian energy group API Holding, is set for June 20.

The 500 mln eur, 50-50 venture will see the construction of a 350 mega watt wind park in Italy called Societa Energie Rinnovabili.

The venture will develop seven wind power projects located in the regions of Sicily and Puglia, and are set to come on line between 2008-2009, Iberdrola said.
