Campaigners fighting wind-farm developments in Carmarthenshire have called for an immediate moratorium until health impacts are assessed.
Members of South Wales Alternative to Turbines (Swatt) have called on the Assembly to renew its policy of allowing windfarms in rural areas.
Anti-windfarm campaigner Caroline Evans, from Gwernogle, said: “The problems of giant wind turbine installations are only now being more widely known, with noise and sound affecting the health of residents nearby.
“Members of the Mid and West Wales region of Swatt are calling for an immediate moratorium on wind power station development until the economic and health impacts can be properly assessed.”
Ms Evans said other forms should be looked into to encourage renewable and non-polluting energy production such as bio-mass, wave, tidal, and carbon-capture.
Anti-windfarm protesters fighting turbine developments at Ammanford, Brechfa Forest, Llanfynydd, Pendine, Blaengwen, and Blaen Bowi, near Newcastle Emlyn, took part in an anti-turbine rally in Cardiff.
More than 300 protesters from Wales took part in the rally.
Planning permission has already been granted for 10, 110-metre turbines at Blaengwen, near Alltwalis.
