The Port of Corpus Christi has given the go-ahead to a study that could bring a wind farm to the city.
Under an agreement approved by port commissioners Tuesday morning, Revolutionary Energy of Colorado will set up a test site in the port area to see if a wind turbine farm is feasible.
Over the next two years, Revolutionary Energy will test wind speeds and do environmental studies in a one mile stretch of land just north of the Tule Lift Bridge. The company will also see if there are companies willing to buy energy from a Corpus Christi based wind farm.
