Phase two of the Erie Shores Wind Farm is in the beginning stages. Norfolk approved 6 parcels of land to be considered as locations for wind turbines in the future. The farm lands stretch between North Road and the 7th Concession in the former township of Houghton. While the public meeting heard 4 residents speak out against the construction of wind turbines in the county, Bird Migration, noise, visual and health risks were all concerns raised to council last night. AIM PowerGen Corp. is awaiting approval from the Ontario government, something that could take up to two years.
