Plans for the Langham wind farm have been opposed by Lincolnshire County Council.
The decision was taken after councillors were presented with a report from planning officer Juliette Thomas-Cousins, recommending they object to the scheme.
Npower renables submitted a proposal to erect six turbines – each 127m high – on farm land between Anderby, Anderby Creek and Chapel St Leonards.
The main objection to the plans was that four of the turbines would stand within the coastal conservation area.
County Coun Colin Davie said: “It is contrary to the policies we have and we wish to protect the conservation area.”
Mrs Thomas-Cousins said: “The coastal conservation areas are intended to protect the remaining character and interest of the coast which is considered to be physically and visually vulnerable – as its dunes and marshes are easily eroded and with a landscape that does not easily absorb development.”
She added that LCC, as a strategic planning authority, is particularly concerned about the likely environmental impact of the proposal.
