OMB hearing for wind turbine
There will be a full Ontario Municipal Board Hearing into a proposed CAW wind turbine in Saugeen Shores.
A teleconference was held January 29th on the matter.
OMB Communications Spokesperson Kraen Kotzen says a resolution to the issue did not result from that call however.
That means there will be a full OMB hearing into the issue.
The CAW wants to put a turbine which exceeds the municipality’s zoning by-law – the proposal is to be 75 metres high with 25 metre long blades – giving an overall height of 1 hundred metres.
The hearing is set for March 27th and could last around 20 days.
It begins at 12 noon in council chambers in Saugeen Shores.
