Frizington area opposes Pica windmills

Frizington and Arlecdon Parish Council is to formally object to the proposed windfarm at Pica.

The notes of last month’s public meeting into the proposal were fed back to the parish council this week, who voted to object.

Chairman, Peter Connolly, said: “They would be too visible from the Lake District, and would be an eyesore that wouldn’t help tourism in any way.”

The proposal, for five turbines at Fairfield Farm, is on the boundary of the Frizington and Arlecdon parish.
