The firm at the centre of a row with residents over proposed wind turbines at Pica apologised for not attending a recent public meeting to discuss plans.
A spokeswoman for Wind Prospect said that they were unable to attend the meeting at which Copeland mayor Willis Metherell, a Distington councillor, said she would “fight tooth and nail” to stop a wind farm at Pica.
Mellissa Warren, of Wind Prospect, said: “Wind Prospect values the opinions of local residents very highly. Throughout the development stage of the proposed Fairfield Farm Wind Farm, we have been very open with our intentions to locate a wind farm at Pica and have engaged fully in a process of consultation with the local community.
“The company is happy to answer any questions the public may have.
