A woman from Carlock is helping organize a group that wants more information to be spread before a wind farm is built near her home. Cindy Lorimor of “Information is Power” told WJBC’s Jayme Monacelli that the tall turbines make farming more difficult.
Lorimor says the turbines are also difficult for wildlife, and she claims that properties near the towers drop in value. The McLean County Zoning Board of Appeals considers Invenergy’s request for a 100 tower farm in northwestern McLean County and southeastern Woodford County on January 16.
