In other town news, the board approved extending its wind farm moratorium for another six months while the Planning Board continues to work on its law. Burns said the Planning Board has obtained a number of other municipalities wind laws and is using those as a guide for developing Fremont’s law.
“We’re trying to find something that’s usable for the Town of Fremont,” she said, adding the extension of the moratorium will allow the town to work on its law without pressure. “So we have chance to put something together.
“As far as I know, no companies have been pushing,” Burns added, “so we have time to do a good job as to what the town can do.”
