OSHA Investigating Construction Accident

A construction worker remains hospitalized after he was severely injured at a Gamesa construction site.

Jeff Davis suffered a cut so severe that his ankle was dislocated. Officials said Davis is an employee of White Construction, a company hired by Gamesa to construct windmills.

White Construction officials are still trying to determine what went wrong at the site, and OSHA was at the scene Wednesday conducting an investigation that could last two weeks to six months.

Officials said Davis will remain hospitalized for a few days to ensure his wound does not become infected. Davis, who has been with the company for nearly three years, is a quality control manager responsible for ensuring wind turbines are constructed to manufacturers’ specifications.
