It's In the Wind

BRIDGETON – American Transport Systems, of Vineland, told the Cumberland County Economic Development Board Dec. 12 that it has been exploring putting up to 150 wind energy turbines along the Delaware Bay. Over the past 18 months, the company has been looking into possibly leasing property rights along the shoreline to position the turbines. They would be similar to those positioned near Atlantic City by the Atlantic County Utilities Authority. The company has not released details.
