Big guns for wind turbine battle

The big guns are being wheeled out for the Two Moors campaign against wind turbines at Batsworthy Cross.

Campaign president Lord Hamilton will speak at a meeting at Knowstone Village Hall on Friday (November 24). Other speakers are North Devon’s MP Nick Harvey, Dr John Constable of the Renewable Energy Foundation, MEP Neil Parish and campaign chairman Ashley Gray.

npower has applied for planning consent for nine 103m high turbines at the site near South Molton.

The Two Moors Campaign is in favour of “realistic and suitable forms of” renewable energy but opposes the industrialisation of the Devon landscape.
