Greens propose wind farms

About 250 wind turbines would dot the landscape between Bunbury and Pinjarra under a new power generation plan by South West Greens MLC Paul Llewellyn.

Mr Llewellyn told an environment conference held in Bunbury last week that the plan would benefit farming communities.

“˜”˜There could also be several turbines located near the city, for example on Port Authority land feeding power directly into the local network,” he said.

“˜”˜Long-term we could be looking at a wave machine off the coast,” Mr Llewellyn said.
