A multi-million pound proposal to build up to 108 wind turbines off the north Norfolk coast has faced a setback.
County councillors refused to back the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind farm, despite recommendations from planning officers to approve the scheme.
At the meeting on Friday, the council said the wind farm might have an adverse impact on the fishing industry.
Scira, the company behind the project, has said the wind farm could provide power for at least 238,000 homes.
Earlier this year, Scira held a public exhibition and consultation on the plans.
The government will make a final decision on the plans.
