Residents from Lowick, Bowsden, Ford and Etal packed into Lowick Village Hall to discuss proposals for establishing a ten turbine windfarm on Barmoor which lies between the rural communities. Presentations given by both sides were followed by a question and answer session but at a final vote by residents, the overwhelming result was to object to the scheme. Barmoor is one of four sites picked out for possible wind farms in North Northumberland.
