Sen. Alexander: Environmentally Responsible Wind Power Act
In order to protect our nation’s most scenic areas, Senator John Warner (R-VA) and I introduced the Environmentally Responsible Wind Power Act of 2005 last week in the Senate. "Substantial bat kills" at region's windpower facilities, study says
The windpower facilities standing near Garrett County in Tucker County, W.Va., and Meyersdale, Pa., are responsible for “substantial bat kills,” according to a study released this week by the Bats and Wind Energy Cooperative (BWEC), a partnership of conservationists, wind industry specialists, and federal government researchers.
